lots of bubbles from durso

hi guys...i think many of you will know that by using a durso, the output frmo the durso to the sump has alot of air bubbles.

they are kinda giving me a heaache because when the bubbles explode, they cause splashes which causes the floor and surrounding areas to turn gradually wet.

so how should i cope with the bubbles?

Cover the top of your sump with a piece of acrylic or glass

I used those wrapper (bao xien zhi) which we wrap our food to keep in fridge, low cost. Flexible to poke hole for piping.

if u want a cheaper solution, use styrofoam, cut a hole just enuff for the pipe to g thru, then the rest can cover the top of sump.. bubbles are good actually, to increase the oxidation of the water ... making the water fill with more oxygen.
