Help on skimmer

I am keeping a reef now.Have 9 fishes. i am currently using an airstone powered skimmer.should i upgrade 2 a venturi powered one ?Any good reccomendations.BTW, i do not have a sump.

as a gauge...i use 2012 with weipro4000 pump on my 250L system

honestly, I tink macro is a better venturi skimmer than macro... u need a good pump (preferably) like maybe sicce extrema to go with it... if u buy both second hand, maybe alightly past $100...

haha.. typrobin, u are fast to notice mistakes. thinks RAV-65 refers to macro compared to weipro. haha

Anyway, veliferium, I have just set up my marine tank recently (3ft) and is using the macro AS150P (the needlewheel one). So far quite good. Give it a try loh. Price is slightly above $100. Out of sump (hang on type). U can try our sponsors here like Bio-ocean or Jireh marine. Cheers!!

i've seen the macro 150, but for a 3ft tank i think it is way too small...

seriously speaking, the macro needlewheel is not really tat good...though the price is very attractive...

but however, every skimmer has its satisfied owner and i am glad that u are satisfied with it...
