fishes pushing sand ard

hmm my 2 damsels and clownfish keeps pushing the sand as if landscaping.

is this normal?

Don't really get what you mean but they might be trying to get rid of parasites on the body

I think you meant the damsels and clowns are sweeping the sand off the sandbed with their "tails", right?

Well I'd seen such behavior in my tank too... my tomato clown behaving like goby at times, throwing chucks of sands and rocks around the tank, out of its "territory".... like doing housekeeping...

your thread sparked my curiousity too.. interesting...

yea. they keep pushing the sand out of their sleeping areas.

they made it so well, its quite impossible to find them when they sleep..
