Does prata eat live fish?

As indicated above, does prata wait and capture any unsuspecting fish and eat them?

So far my 2 prata didnt capture any fish.....i think most probably i well feed them with meaty food

I think he meant otherwise.

Anyway the prata opening and closing of it's mouth is very slow unlike anemones which is stinging as well, it couldn't eat a fish and wouldn't anyway.

Err... I think I saw a prata @ LCK110 that swallowed 1/2 a green mandarin in its mouth... so i dun really agree with Marineman...

mine eats dead fishes...so everytime any of my fishes die, he will get a feast...

so far he is still to slow to catch his own fish..

Prata= Cynarina and scolymia?

Could it be a dead mandarin as prata eats dead fish/prawn meat. It's tentacles are short and not as toxic as other corals, just wonder how it can catch a fish and furthermore, fishes don't bother this coral.

Rhodactis mushrooms eats fishes alive for sure but not cynarina or scolymia as far as I am aware.
