STN on non-branching hammer

One of my non-branching hammers developed a spot of STN (or brown jelly .. can't really tell). It's progressively getting larger, but how to stop it? For branching types I can always frag it out, but this one's non-branching. Iodine? Tried FW dip but didn't work.

I suggest you can only suck the brown jelly off using a tube.

r the symptons similar to this?

i dun think so man...it sounds like the hammer is slowly dying off..

it is too stressed, bring it to a place with better flow, not too strong hor...let the flow wash the slime away, if not it will choke on its own slime...and dun do FW dips...FW dips are only for clearing parasite and hitch-hikers, it will certainly and definitely stress your hammer more...wonder who gave u tat advise..

if u want can try to chop of the dead part, but wait for it to heal 1st...

also watch out for your parameter, dying off = high DOC = nitrate later...so becareful...

Thanks for the advice bros. It's weird since my other Euphyllia sp. are not affected at all. Moved the affected one to the side of the tank in case it's some infection that spreads. The rest of the colony is still expanding normally, but the brownish-gooey area is still spreading. Just bought a bottle of Lugol's, dipped it in. Hopefully will work! :(
