You are right. Many friends of mine who were in NPCC before did not get into SPF for NS. Such things are pure luck, you really gotta t depend on where CMPB wants to post you to. Just go with the flow. If you really want to further your studies, keep your options open first. After uni you will still have lots of time to choose your career path.

I just received my enlistment letter and Im enlisted in the Singapore Police Force. I also dont know whether Im happy or sad. Firstly, Im enlisted on 14th of December. Not enough time to enjoy my post A level holidays. Secondly, my twin brother got into Army and its the first time that we are going in diferent ways.

i don't know the rules and procedure for the selection of nspi. but work hard .aim for nspi

i dunno how true this is, but from personal experience and hv seen quite a few cases,

2 sons in a family, normally one will get the so call lobo service side of the force. the other will kena terlok terlok combat side.

e.g. my brother is a driver (so called MT line sergeant), and i am a pioneer (so called combat engineer sergeant attached to infantry battalion).

do other reefers hv anything in common to share?
