Auto food feeder

Thinking of getting an automatic food feeder. Are there any brands to recommend? I'm on a budget.

Btw, do these auto feeders run on electricity?

Most of them run on batteries. Budget means some china brand. Seen in reborn. 25 dollars i think.

bought mine from pet mart. taiwanese one. around 25 or 35. still good and working

Taiwan or China $20 odd. (IME, not very reliable)

If u going overseas for 1-2 wk, always remember to change new batteries. A simple way to prevent a costly mistake.

U can put pellets or flakes into the auto feeder. I prefer pellets as flakes tend to become moist in our humid weather and some salt spray getting into the container.

I just checked out the auto feeders. hmm.. quite expensive.. around $20 and above, and they don't look very reliable. There's even one going for $70!

I personally prefer Ehiem autofeeder though is expensive. They even have some fluid autofeeder if i remember correclty

pellets is good. But ensure your fish has start taking it before use it as main source of food during your trip.

20% water change 2-3 days before you leave might be a good idea.

Got it for so long ago, can't remember but should be ard $60. Can get from petmart.

If I am not wrong, this is the original version from Japan. The rest are replicas from China/Taiwan.
