No probelm with SPS.

I believe they are changing color one after another. To adept , the change in MH K and change salt.

In past 4 weeks, I changed MH K' and 95% water change ( to change salt to TM ).

My SPS were turning from dark brown to light brown than to light pink ( most of them, some goes to milky white ). While they are changing color, NO Poly extension, after reach to Light Pink/Milky White than Poly start come out again. Most Poly are white while some blue some green.

So far I am happy with result from SPS, because most of them are come back from STN :). So I believe what I had done should be quite alright, now problem with PO4.

milky white? You must be really good if this is not bleaching. Many of us cannot keep this colour.

most reefers would do only 25% water change...... first time i heard of such big water change.....

Haa Haa no choice, first a few time when I was using Italy salt, NO3 were beyond 50, and me with hot, so changed all water.

Last time was to change the salt from Italy to TM. I was told can't change the salt by LFS, so I told him why not and did it.

Of course I change 15% of my water alternate week.

When I got the time from one of senior here, it's the color I got :) It's arco. I managed to STN 50% and left with 50%. So you can know how good I was :P

Learning , Learning in paintful way :)

With White color Poly, How can u tell it's bleaching ? For past 2 weeks, seen no sign of STN, RTN. Changed color solowly without Poly. In past 5 days, Poly start come out slowly one after another but this time all Poly are White.

Could that be changing bulb from 14K to 20K ?

it may be and may be not taotally because of the lights...cous frm 14kk to 20kk is lower in PAR so , cant conclude from this aspect :)

yar..lower yr feeding to 1 cube...

whao....reefer guy, u got 10 anthias and 4 tangs, etc..and u manage to feed 1 cube, and P04 is undectable...whao..thats very good...

difficult to get that results, all the way! :P

and Why not you try using Rowaphos , it works...But a small amt at a time as it can be sensitive to yr SPSes.. :)

FYI, to reduce your algae growth you need to get below 0.03 ppm preferably 0.01 ppm of course the lower the better but if you hit 0.03 ppm expect to see some algae....

5 gm of your fish feed is enough to raise your PO4 by 0.1 ppm - so you can imagine why it is dificult to control if there are lots of LS.

keeping high bioload needs dedicated maintenance or rest assured ur tank will crash sooner or later..... my skimming i can say is efficient, cleaning up black gunk every 2-3 days, aside from which i do water change every 2 weeks, all parameters are checked as well at least once a week using salifert test kits....

phosban worked for me, and i used rowaphos back then as well and its really effective.... the only backlog rowaphos have is it is so efficient that it clears phosphate and silicate in ur system fast, and corals get stressed up due to the abrupt change of water parameters.... as for my tank, i am no longer using any phosphate remover since i got 0 reading in phosphate, just using GAC and changing it every 2 weeks as well.........

agree with this statement .....so if want to try Rowaphos, use it slowly at small amts each time :)

OK Guys,

I am going to try

1. "Wash" the brain shrimp cube before feeding.

2. Reduce feeding to 1 cube a day from 2 cube a day.

3. Change Phosphate Remover ( Due to change this week , currently in Casinater, should I move it to Sump ? )

And will test again tomorrow morning. Should be different by 1 night only ?

1 nitght??? erm :D cant be grantee....but you may see the effect too in 1 nights time...by doing all this, you are trying to control the P04 from getting in your tank ...But if your tank do already have a P04 of 1ppm, you need to remove it practically either by means of P04 remover or water change...maybe around 10-20% is enough.... :)

erm, if you do not have a FR,canister is the other alternative.....

all the best and keep us updated in the results...hope you be able to hit the o which is also the undectable mark... :peace:
