Water parameters

[Still Blue]

I'm having high readings of the above as follows:

CAL-510ppm

KH-20.2dkh

ALk-7.2meq/l

Am using Salifert test kits.

Tank specs are 2 x 1.5 x 1.5 ft

H & S Skimmer/Hailea-AquaMedic chiller at 26C

Filter -Sump with I-box

Water change of 10% every fortnightly using Red Sea salt.

Keeping mostly LPS/softies

01 YT / 01 Nemo / 01 Coral Blue / 02 Orange skunks

Please help!!...

stop dosing any cal or kh additives...it will slowly go down...

or maybe u might wanna do some water change...but test the saltwater(newly mixed) before changing..it might be due to the salt...heard tat synthetic salt tends to have higher cal and kh...

CA is a little high,

and your ALK is a little low,

did you dose calcium?

or kalk?

you might wanna check your magnesium,

i suspect it is a little low too.

best is still a water change with the right ionic proportions.

leaving it like that will stress the LS,

and trying to adjust by adding chemicals might just skew the water aprems more

Running a Macro CR but not dosing kalk.

Have you tuned your reactor to keep up with the CA

depletion?

Maybe there is excess CA being added?

you might wanna test your affluent to see it is appropriate

for your tank.
