Hi bros, would like to know a chiller with 1/2hp can raise the bill by how much

if other chiller hp oso can post cos nd to know to get approve from CFO.

If can MH 150W oso, Est eletricity bill.

0.15x24x30x0.165 = $17.82 monthly.

provided one months is 30days

power factory = 1

and electricity cost $0.165/kw hr

u estimate the working hrs of the chiller....X the electricity it consumes X 30 or 31 days X the current tariff..

it shld cost u ard 15 bucks or so a mth..but many other factors will determine the exact cost..

1/2 hp chiller consumes abt 370 Watts of electricity when running.

If, 2 x 150W MH at 8 hrs usage per day :

the estimated electricity consumption is 72 kWH or $11.90 per month

Chiller not on 24hrs meh? if on off the water temperture will move a lot, would it be bad for the corals?

if temperature fluctuation occurs over a small period of time, say......flux of 3deg in one hour, then yes. it'll be stressful.

but if temperature fluctuation occurs over an extended period of time, say 3deg in 8 hrs, then the effect isn't so detrimental.

chiller is switched on 24 hrs...but they dun work 24hrs..get the drift?

just like your fridge....you dun switch off your fridge...but neither does it work 24 hrs non stop
