Hi, i would like to install a chiller to my 3 feet tank but I am currently

running on a cannister filter (ehiem) instead of overflow. Understanding from

some dealer, it is not advisable to install the chiller cos there isnt

enough power to pump the chiller.

1) Is it true that the cannister got no power to provide the return?

2) Is there alternative other than buying a external pump

for the chiller cos it would be quite expensive ?

Thanks !!!

I use to use a seperate pump for chiller, but gave up as the pump consistancty gets jam (i don't have a sump so pump is directly into aquarium)....

now i connect the chiller directly to my cannister and things seems to be working quite well, in fact the flow rate from my canister seems to be much suiable for my chiller then the pump as the chiller now cuts in less often....the canister is Renna brand and have never broke down (touch wood) in past 2.5 years....dam solid pieace of equipment if you as me.....
