Last Sat I visit some LFS in Pasir Ris farm. I realised that nowadays this is how coral are packed before deliverd to LFS. Basically, the coral are just wrapped by newspaper!!! <_<:pinch:

I believe the shipper just want to save freight charges since it will be much heavier if they packed the coral in plastic bag with sea water.

When the worker unwrapped and take out those LPS coral, most of them are in very bad shape since all tissue has been totally receded into the skeleton due to long duration of exposure to air. :(

Aren't Cities license control how the coral are delivered also?

According to A. Calfo, some corals are better ship wet rather than in water. especially euphylia species which are known to emit tons of brown jelly when stressed and finally dying due to bacteria infections. :D

Correction: Last night went back to double check A. Calfo's book, it is written that tidal corals species such as Xenia, Zoanthids and some SPS are suitable for dry shipping not Euphylia species.

Sorry for the mistakes.
