Have been seeing the little eyes and stomach developing while still sticking to the LRs.

Sian this morning nothing left.. Suspect the parents had it for supper already.

Could it be possible in the mouth of the parent.

dun get disappointed. if u observe closely, within a week or 2, yr pair will lay eggs again on the exact spot. that's what happened to my true percular. infact, mine just laid the 6th time now. perhaps u can invest the separate tank now. once it started laying eggs, it will try again & again. i have neither the time, space or the $$$. i may consider shifting them to the sump tank. need some planning though.

btw, mine also disappear ard day 6 to day 8.

i too suspected the parent that ate it. will find time to read what tineng posted. also cud be the cleaner shrimps or crabs that come out in the nite.

The fries disappeared on the 10th days. I believe the parents ate it cause it only disappeared after 10 days whereby I can see the eye and stomach developing already. Furthermore the parents are very protective over it. Sometimes even fan the fries with it's fins. And shortly after 2 days, it laid on the same spot again, with even more eggs.

Most likely they disappeared caused the fries actually hatch after lights off. Most likely they got blended by powerheads, etc.
