coraline algae will encrust on the rocks...touch it, if it easily gets sweep away then it should be cyano...

if it is really coraline, get some kind of urchin (not too sure which)...they eat coraline algae...

experts pls advise on the urchin type...

HAA HAA

I using AquaC still not good enough :P

The Black Longspine Urchin, also known as Long-spined Sea Urchin, has a body which is predominately black with a red eyespot in the center. The spines on these urchins are long, thin and completely black. These urchins are excellent algae controllers for an aquarium housing aggressive fish.

I was using the above till it got too big for my 2ft :pinch: The spines dame scary... Was a great helper and cleaner :yeah:

Now i rented a Pincushion Urchin, Blue Tuxedo for cleaning. :peace:

my sandbed is clean, its only the rocks. i think it might be cyano. what would be the solution then? i have a blue hermit crab, but there's only so much that poor fella can do for my 2 ft.

what's the reason for cyano overgrowth anyway?
