Clam not opening

Hi guys, need some help. :huh:

recently juz installed 2 fluorescent tubes to brighten up for my acro but seems that some clams at the same position do not open wide now. currently using a 20k/150w MH, 2x2ft blue light & 2x3ft daylight fluorescent.

is there such a case abt clam cant take in too much light? the other corals open like very happy leh. :nc: then other clams too.

try using 10K MH if clam is at bottom of tank.

the clams are being placed somewhere middle of the tank. they're having a good position i wld say. :huh:

i'll hv to monitor these few days. juz pray that they'll open up big big soon. :(

The PAR from the 20K 150W reaching to the middle of the tank might not be sufficent as 20K is already lower in PAR. A 10K or 6500K have more PAR so might be more beneficial to the clam.

how abt, if the clams are placed directly below the 20k 150w MH?

still monitoring thou. last nite nv really open. but saw my BT nip at it once. :shock:

any experience that BT nip at clams? <_<

heard that sometimes funny fishes do funny things...hope tat your BT dun like to eat clams...
