gaga
Hello fellow reefers, Just want to check if anyone out there is also using Instant Mud by Aquapharm. Below is the product description. Instant Mud is a special compound substrate which contain valuable Minerals that stimulates a natural, healthy and strss free enviroment. The minerals in instant mud are in natural collodial form, making it easily absorbable to help coral and fishes thrive as well as restore coloration that have faded over time. Instant Mud also contain some very unique properties which removes excess phoshate that can promote the growth of unsightly algae. Directions: Use a 2.5 ml teaspoon (provided) per 25 gallon/95litres of water three time a week. It may cause temporary cloudiness. Bought it @ ML, come in a 130 grams container. I went to RC website but couldn't find any info on this new product, even the Aquapharm website doesn't list this new product. Was just wondering if anyone has use it to good results. Gouldian
Aiyah see the numbers of empty bottles lying around ML and you will know it is a product that Henry believes and uses for his display. I used it too, not much effects on stony. But Zoanthids seems to like it, color up and open bigger! Quote "Reefs, like forests, will only be protected in long term if they are appreciated" Dr. J.E.N. SRC Member dradttg Posted September 30, 2004 SRC Member Share Posted September 30, 2004 I am on my second bottle now. My frogspawn seen to like it. Dont seen to have any effect on my califlower and Sea fan. However, my phosphate is still zero even though my biophos is 2 - 3 months old. I have 18 fishes in total (4 tangs) I am not using the recommended dosage. I just use 1 teaspoon everyday for my 250 gallon tank.

He say he uses it for his display tank. How much it cost anyway? I have a few muchrooms rocks in my tank and they are doing very well. I cant really tie it to Instant Mud because I cant see any visible differences. They are going at 12+ a bottle.
Gouldian
I feel that my Zoanthids are the ones that show significant difference. I have two rock of Zoanthids for 1yr liao and after I dose they started to show vibrant colours. So for me, I will continue to dose but will noy loose a sweat over it. ;-) Quote "Reefs, like forests, will only be protected in long term if they are appreciated" Dr. J.E.N. SRC Member patrick123 Posted October 5, 2004 SRC Member Share Posted October 5, 2004 Sounds like koi pond where you use the clay/mud to improve the color of the koi.
