Anemone
hi anyone knows of a fish thats compatible with my hawkfish in a 2 feet setup? my last purchase, a similar sized lawnmower blenny got whacked n died. should i go for a big mean DAMSEL? its not like im gonna add more fishes to that 2 feet of mine. so should i add one in n let them fight it out? or should i forget about fishes n add in large shrimps? any chance of them being whacked too? thinking of adding a reef lobster, and a pair of blood-red shrimps. or a bad-tempered boxer. also thinking of throwing in some algae crew like dwarf hermits. (where? i need! ) suggestions pls. jon.
damsels
Hawkfish are a aggressive being. They can generally pick on anything that is smaller than them. Thus, a good idea is to keep them with moderately aggressive or even aggressive fishes that are no smaller than the hawkfish. Depending on the species you are keeping, hawkfish can grow to a length of 3 inches to 7 inches. Therefore, large angels, dwarf angels, hogfish, puffers, fish-only wrasses should be fine
