FuEl
I have the following for sale. As I'm only keeping a few frags for myself. The rest of the frags came from the same mother colonies. Benefits of captive propagated sea fans - Sea fans grow adapted to the environment, many huge wild colonies die due to insufficient current and other factors that are very different from what they experience in the wild. Thus, growing sea fans out from frags greatly increases their survival rate in captivity. - No danger of hitchhikers. - Good size, you can literally stick them anywhere in your tank which has sufficient current. Good for nano tanks. My frags are stuck onto coral chips. These have been undergoing TLC for the past month or so. Small spots of coralline algae are already growing on some of the coral chips. No tissue recession has occured (common problem in seafan fragging)and some frags have even encrusted onto the coral chip. Each coral chip has 1 blue polyp seafan frag, one red base with yellow polyp seafan frag, and one purple base with purple polyp seafan. These guys are tough, just place them somewhere with enough turbulence and they will open nicely. Only asking $5 per set (1 coral chip with 3 diff sea fans mounted). Interested parties just pm me. Pics are attached below. Quote Always something more important than fish. http://reefbuilders.com/2012/03/08/sps-pico-reef/
FuEl
Pic of a purple seafan frag (the one on the right one) which has literally encrusted onto the coral chip. Collection will be in marine parade area. If have fellow interested reefers living around same area it would be good if a single person collects. It's tiring staying at home waiting for people to come one by one.. FuEl
Only 4-5 pcs left for grabs. Pm me if interested. For those who have been asking how to care for them - place them in moderate current to prevent settling of debri and aiding the shedding of mucus. - low phosphate levels prevents growth of smothering algae. - I feed them with Aquaz supreme blend phytoplankton, liquidlife USA bioplankton, Liquidlife USA coralplankton (rotifers) and golden pearls (rotifer substitute).
