Fuzz, you cannot use rowaphos/contraphos etc etc with ZEOvit but you can use the reactor. which reactor are u using now?

technically, u can... if i understand the information from the web correctly. juz that u dun really need to use it cos zeovit can do the same thing.

i left my rowa running cos if i take out, do what with it? is only 2 weeks old and is one whole kg!

hmm maybe my STN colonies is due to rowa cos some reefers here did mention that rowa and contra do cause STN. something to investigate.

bro, you cannot use rowaphos and ZEOvit together, the drastic reduction in phophate levels will result in a stressful environment for your SPS and thus RTN/STN. its akin to overdosing of the ZEOvit additives..

If the fluidised reactor can be used for the zeovit, I just changed my contra media recently and after that I may consider going into zeovit

Think the reefers here can do a good job of controlling a stable salinity. Tissue loss is more than salinity factor.

i think it depends on when it is put in.

if someone already has rowa and phosphate is zero, putting in zeovit without taking out the rowa wont make a difference in phosphate level so why take out the rowa?

however, if nothing was used in the first place and phosphate is not zero, then dun put zeovit and rowa at the same time.

rowa alone can cause stn if used too much initially due to drastic drop in phosphate.

Macro, i think most of the reefers here have refrags to test out the salinity levels. I think most of us have 1.023 as an average with 1.025 as the general max.

Its a good piece of instrument and can measure accurate readings without the effect of temperature
