Hi,

I have been having problem maintaining my KH for the tank. I have a CR running 24/7. Even after I use the Seachem reef builder to boost up my KH to 13 dkh, after about 1-2 weeks, it will go back to 6-7 dkh. This has been the case for a few weeks already.

Today, I measured the effluent of the CR and got a shock that the KH for the effluent is only 11dkh. No wonder my tank can only be at 7 dkh.

The media I used for my CR is ARM. Just wondering if anyone has the same problem.

You got to retune your CR...

I used to have low KH till i increase the bubble rate.

Perhaps you can state your CR model? bubble rate? effluent rate?

Fromw what i have comprehend so far: CR KH has got to be 40-60 to maintain your tank KH at ard 9+

Dun have to be so critical tt Kh MUST be 11, Ph MUST be 8.2, or Ca MUST be 420

As long as your corals are doing fine, just leave the settings.

Bro, whats the Ph of your elluent? Drip rate? bubble count? most prob the Ph is too high... gotta run the CR at about 6.7 - 6.8 for ARM to be effective. Which CR are you using?

I'm using the CR from cookie. Since I'm out of town now, I will go home and check the Ph of the effluent. Currently, the bubble count is 1 bubble every 2 seconds and the drip rate is 1 sec 3-4 drops.

Thanks,

Patrick
