Question about AquaC Remora

Hi,

Just upgraded my skimmer from a weipro to AquaC Remora :P .

Got a question about the pump to drive it. I am using the weipro 3000 or 4000 to drive it (since I have it at the moment). Rated flow rate is about 2300 l/h (not too sure but should be around there). Wondering if this is too much since I think the recommended pump should be one about 1200-1300l/h?

Currently seems to be pruducing a lot of bubbles but not foaming yet. I know that this could be due to the skimmer not broken in yet but can't help feeling that another possiblilty is that the pump is too powerful. Any advice from experts out there? And how long does it usually take to break in the skimmer?

Regards

Jerry

did u wash the remora wif warm water as advised? that will reduce the break in period. normally, shld take a few days to break in. IMHO, best is to follow the rec flowrate. go get urself a maxijet 1200 or a sicce idra. ;)

Thanks for the reply lightningstrike. Good news is that the skimmer seems to have broken in and foaming really well now.
