Feeding hammer coral.

Hello everyone,

I read that I'm suppose to feed my hammer coral with meaty stuff eg,prawn. What I did was cut the prawn meat into a small piece and drop it on the hammer coral. I notice that it will not eat the food and the prawn meat will drop on the substrate intead. Oh ya, I also place the food on its mouth, which I think it is cause there's a slit. Hope to get some help from reefers here as to whether the way I'm feeding it is correct.

try feeding it at night(when lights are off)...i noticed that when the lights are on, they will be too busy sun-tanning and can't be bothered with anything else...

I dun think they really feed on chunky stuff. tried feeding with phytoplankton and coral food. I use to fees them with daphnia as well... not sure whether they eat or not though

You don't have to directly feed your hammers, they will get food from extracts of whatever food you feed your fishes, like DT live phyto, GP, cyclop etc.

hammers dun take any sort of phyto at all. mebbe GP or cyclops though
