any ways to make clown attracted to host?

Recommended Posts

any ways?

got a white tip bubble anemone(i think tt's what it is) and a true pec..

im convinced that the clown has made the rainbar column his home.. forever hanging around there. the anemone is just below a little "cliff" so this clown cant see 'wonderland' unless he venture out somemore... shucks.

any ideas?

what if i catch the anemone and the clown and put in the small small tank for a while?

just wanna grab some ideas...

I was thinking about that too. Before introducing the clown, put the clown and the anemone in a betta box. After they stay together, then release them into the tank. The challenge will be, once your anemone attach itself to the betta box, how do you remove it.

I was told that not all clown like anemone...especially so for the true percula.

Bubble tip (Entacmaea quadricolor) cannot be used to host percula.

Percula prefer these:

Heteractis crispa; H. magnifica and Stichodactyla gigantea. ;)

ok guess i will go find a rose tip anemone and find another pair of clowns or sth..

but will the current clown(whose home is the rainbar column.. ) go disturb and attack the other clowns? I've read abt them being terrorital..

also, i dont know if something is wrong with my no3 reading... but it seems very stable.(AZOO) i change my water once every 2 weeks... but the no3 reading is lways low..

is there something tt's making the no3 level low? ;)

current tank(2 by 1 by 1) inside got...

2 snails

1 anemone

1 cleaner shrimp

1 clown

1 foxface

algae is on the LR.. but the snails r busy clearing them. foxy is helping also..

using prizm skimmer and canister(coral chips, aqua clay, carbon, rowphos, polyfilter)

anyone can offer suggestions or help?
