To DIY a set of 2 tube T5 u need

E Ballast - Elbiru $25/ Vossloh$40/ Osram $60

Reflector - Parabolic or non-parabolic - $20/30 average for 2 pieces

Endcaps - Waterproof $30 or non-waterproof $2 (4 pieces)

HO Tubes - AquaZ, ATI etc...$50 average (2 tubes)

Tube clips- $2

Wires to connect everything up-$5

Three pin plug - $3

Casing - $25 average

All add up wud be close to $150 or so.

and u have to source for material, drill holes, wire up all the part urself.

Maybe u might want to consult dr evil to do up a set for u if the price is not too far

away from the added cost of material. ;)

Currently, I have negotiated pricing for T5 lighting comparable to those that are DIY. This hopefully will help those who have no knowledge of DIY or find it a little difficult to source for parts or how exactly to put one together to save the trouble and also get a quality unit from Germany with approvals.
