fish nipping my clams.

just bought a flame angle few weeks ago and it began to nip at my clams

the clams stil open, but not fully open, will they die? any advise to prevent further damage?

Try moving your clams higher up on the rocks and monitor.

If the nipping continues, you might want to consider selling the flame angel or putting it in another tank as the nipping will stress the clams causing them not to open to get the light.

In the long run, the clams will "starved" itself to death...

Flame Angels are not considered reef safe IMO... think you should remove it unless you can train it...

i think u maybe if u dun wish to remove that angel u can try feeding it more often and see if that helps...

change the location of the clam....some time it helps...i once had that problem with my tang but upon changing its position the nipping stops.....guess the clam "was in its way"....anyway, do becareful with angel fish...if you don't feed them enough then they will start exploring other alternatives...

RO/DI is good... but wish the price had come with booster & faucet & water tank... seems that it comes with all of it on eBay... @ the price!
