Where to get cheap Electronic Ballast?

Hi,

Am wanting to DIY a lighting housing and looking for cheap electronic ballasts. Am looking for 1-to-2 or 1-to-4 electronic ballast - normal electronic ballast that can be used for 4 feet lights. Anyone know where to get them? Any feel how much they cost?

t5 eballast dont come cheap.....it varies from $30-90 depending on the brand. i just did a bulk order on vossloh eballast i do have some spare if u want to purchase from me.

For reasonable e-ballast like vossloh, can call Davex at tel:67452511 and look for Ivy. 2x54W will cost you only $37. Whereas the lower wattage ones will cost cheaper. If you want higher grade ballast, then can get the Osram. 2x54W DIMMABLE cost $78 only. Osram have to get from another shop.

Say for a vossloh eballast 2X39W, are there many types? e.g suitable for FL, T5 or are all the same? see quite diff prices quoted.

A query for T5 e-ballast users.... sorry, just borrow this thread.

I happen to find a 2 x 28W T5 e-ballast (Vossloh). Can it be used for a 24W bulb? Or will it damage the 24W bulb because of higher output of the e-ballast?
