SRC Member SharkBait Posted September 17, 2004 SRC Member Share Posted September 17, 2004 The basic set is to create a nutrient poor enviroment, you will see the natural colours of the sps. The other stuff will bring out the colours even more.

The basic set will cost $80 for the zeovit, zeobak and zeofood7. The zeobak and zeofood7 should last for quite a few months.
lightningstrike
as per pdf info, zeobak is good for 6 mths if unopened. after it has been opened, the shelf life is approx 3 mths. But thomas poyle has also said that as long as there isnt any smell coming from the zeobak, it can still be used. Once theres a bad smell, the zeobak cannot be used anymore. Put the ZeoBak in the refrigerator. I used it for the start up only. After that, when I replace the zeolith, I retain 10-20% of the original and mix in the new ones and the bacteria(on the old zeolith) will start to spread and grow on the new zeolith.
