my cheapo sump?

Recommended Posts

hi has anyone tried this before?

basically I put a pump in my sump to pump water up to the main tank... then over in the main tank, there's this area where water flows into the tube back into the sump...dont know if its feasible...anyone?

just an idea.. to create a sump since i have a spare 2ft tank below the main one..hmm

I'm not sure your tank-to-sump system will work. I guess it have to depend on how you intend to do it. If there is a hole drilled through the tank for the the drain pipes, it should be OK. However, if you are using a syphon method of drawing water to the sump, you will have to use an overflow box concept. Do a search here, there;s a lot of discussion about this here.
