I saw caecilians!

Wow...definitely I knew what I saw. No gills. No fins. They were Typhlonectidae natans! Somehow these guys managed to pass off as fish into Singapore. Anyone interested? I might be getting a few. These guys are cool and cute and furthermore they are livebearers!

Always something more important than fish.

Hmmm....not really endangered since they are livebearers and they are the only caecilian sold widely for the pet trade. But by rights not legal, or at least for now still in the grey area. Once in awhile there will be oddballs, either intentionally or by mistake. Well, the authorities might just be a little more concerned with the bird flu now, which is good for people like me looking for weird & unique stuff. :evil: Anyway, caecilians are harmless. I held one and it does'nt bite at all. Cute fellows. Most people won't know what a caecilian is, they will think of it as just an eel. :heh:
