Hi , sad to say, came back home and saw my fan drop aside and disengaged from the wire socket, unfortunately the socket landed inside the tank, all the

LPS turn bad and water a bit cloudy and smelly. Probably must have been electrocuted. What an expensive lesson , now most of the LPS are mati.

Question now is after 3 days water is clear but still smelly, have changed the filter and 20% water. How to get rid of the smell. Tank 3x2x2.

remove all dead stuff.

change more water.

run a whole tub of carbon.

run some polyfilter.

wat happen to ur LS? r there still any LS or corals in ur tank? if no, suggest u do another water change and recycle again. or at least do frequent water changes of 20% for the next week or so.

dump carbon into ur sump tank (high flow area) to absorbs the toxins and remove the smell from the water.
