Red Sea Skimmer - Strong Outflow

Hi guys,

I am using the Hang-on Red Sea Skimmer and I noticed that the outflow from the skimmer is very strong and it creates small bubbles in my water as it is being released from the skimmer.

Any harm if I were to reduce the speed of skimming?

Any advise appreciated.

Regards,

Chris

Actually small bubbles exiting from the return is good - oxygenate the tank. If you adjust the air-flow it will reduce the force and will get drier skimmate.

Thanks for the reply but with the buubles, it does create some sort of a "confusion state" in my tank.

Should I just let it be? But that would also mean that my tank will never have clear water right? Or will the Skimmer stablise after a while?
