Requirements of Montipora

Is there any gurus who can help me understand the requirements of Montiporas? Read about them, but quite general info only...

from my very limited knowledge,i think that they need very strong current and moderate lighting...they are quite hardy IME.

I did read an article on the substrate as a reflector of light to coral bases

Maybe that will help in some way or another?

sorry to cut in but i was wondering...when monti grows into a few layers, the above layer will block light from the lower one...wont the lower layer die as in will recieve very little light???

lots of reasons,water para,temp ect ect...but monti caps dun like high light...

Montis don't need very powerful lights but will do well under it. My greena nd purple montis look brilliant under 400W lights but will still look ok under 150W.

So besides good water perimeters... do we need to add any additives or sort?
