during the ANN cycle

is it normal to see a high on nitrite and a high on nitrate? :unsure:

ammonia reading is fine..

cycling for round 3 weeks now... n algae is starting to grow on my left side of tank.

some sand particles are turning like brown in color.. is tt normal?

btw :idea: lighting shd be on 24/7 right?

since you are cycling, its the norm, usually ammonia will go down and NO2 and NO3 will start to build up, causing a bit of algae bloom.

your lighting should be off during the cycling stage, or else your algae will be on turbo..:D

switch off your lights and let the cycle complete, once its completed, you can slowly add in your fishes and corals..and the fun shall begin.. :yeah:

flash update after returning home from work!

no2 is down!!

so once it hits super low level.... I will start adding the 1st fish. Which fish is good to start off with? Foxface can? hmmm must find out what good food to buy for fishes aldy.. recommendations?

I must quickly go find my turbo snail sweeper liao...
