Many problem happen with coral beauty and bicolor, i don't know where your LFS got the stock, but i believe at least half of them got the stock from indo and philipine, and i believe you must aware also that the fish comes from this area are cyanide caught. So problem happen if you got the poison fish. It is should be not hard to tempt coral beauty or even bicolor to eat, it may refuse to eat for several days to less than 1 week, don't worry it is normal, but they should soon eat after they feel secure in your tank. If not it mean something problem with your tank, either water parameter is bad or there is other fish that chasing them or could be your tank is too crowded for them.

I also feel that Coral Beauties are hardy and wonderful fish. :D

I notice most American books will put down this fish as problematic. Maybe because they want more ppl to buy their hawaiian angels such as flame.

In fact, if you see the pix in some of the books, their CB pictures are so dull while they flame is so brillant, talk about biased.

Personally, I feel that both are just as hardy and will take any food if introduce patiently. :)
