for what i compare the both of them.

electronic ballast doesn't burn as hot as the magnectic ballast.

for life span not so sure coz none of my ballast had leave me yet

What kind of lighting system ballast are you referring to? MH or FL?

I like my e-ballast for my MH bulbs because it allows me to switch around different types of bulbs without having to change the ballast.
