I was wondering will it be safe to use the water for Top-up and Water Changes... Is this the same as RO-DI system... Thanks and Regards... SRC Member typrobin Posted September 6, 2004 SRC Member Share Posted September 6, 2004 i used to have the diamond thingy...from my experience, it doesn't throw away any water...all water are used and i think it is just a filter unit that clears away unwanted dirt.... after drinking it for a month, my family felt no effect (it supposed to make u feel energized)...so we returned it to the manufacturer...it was just a trial.... Hmmm... nope...i wasn't into marine back then... it doesn't seem like a RO/DI unit, it doesn't extract dirty water...which mean all the water will be used and need not throw away, which is a characteristic of a RO/DI unit...
