Plastic hose ring

Sorry if this sounds stupid.... not v good with DIY stuff.... I'm trying to secure my chiller hose to the pump and the hose is a little loose. Is there a non-rustable hose ring that can do the job? Or does anyone have an alternative way of doing it?

Appreciate any comments.

some use cable tie...but IMO since it doesn't come in contact with seawater, then a normal metal kind will do...

If the pump is submerged in the sump, it would be better to use cable tie.

I tried using the high quality stainless steel (> $4) hose clip but they rust too.

my pump (aquabee) is submerged. Actually, I find that cable tie is not so secured ..... still can pull out. Reason I'm so concerned is that my chiller hose came loose and my pump sprayed water out of the tank. If I weren't at home, then.... gone case....... my fish would have become dried salted fish...

hehe... that aside, anyone with other solutions? Considering the above happened to me, other reefers using cable ties, beware.......

Use fixed pipes/fittings until the pipes/fittings are out of the water then use a nozzle to connect to pvc hose to chiller.

hmm... sounds like a good idea, although not really sure how to go about doing it. You've got any pics to share?
