Hi All,

I've read from the internet that Clams are good to control nitrates. Has anybody seen any significant change in the nitrates when clams were added?

Thanks

Yup.

Especially Derasa & Squamosa. There are reefers that house them in the sump to reduce nitrate.

Crocea & Maxima depend more on lights as they get their food from the zoos that they host. However, periodically filter feed too. ;)

But also add that they eat up your calcium levels too :(
