Cannister Filter Mediums

Hi all, currently cycling a 2ft tank with cannister running at 1200L/HR. there are 4 levels in the cannister. Currently having 2 levels bio-glass, one level biohomme and one level sponge. Is this ok or do i need anything else?

If you are only keeping Fishes. It should be ok.

Most important about canisters is to dismantle and clean up the media frequently. Especially the sponge, they are there to trap deritus and can become a problem by increasing your nitrates and thus give you nuisance algae.

for me, i only dump polyfilter and GAC in my cannister.
