is it those that open and close up non stop one? if yes..i think your acro is in danger.. I dunno what the name for it but i seen it infest the whole stem before causing the main coral ( be it acro..or polys) to die.

Hmmm... are you talking about polyps? :D

Anyway, you should seriously research a lot more about SPS corals before buying them. They require a whole level of reefkeeping skills, husbandry and setup.

ya...did quite a bit of reading (not extensive yet) but never the same when we look at the real thing....books dun show the different stages in which an acro recovers....

I guess...its alright...I'll go do my own research...thanks anyway

a good sign if the polyps are starting to extend (flowers bloomed as u called it) and if there are no white(bleached) spots around.... look for any signs of the tissue receding too....RTN.... if algae starts to grow on them, it's not good....

oh, i see some ricordeas very near to the acro right??? it'll prob burn the acro if it touches it.....how big is your tank by the way? put the acro in an area with lotsa water circulation and under direct lighting..i think reef plus does help for me too in helping corals recoveer...
