Not sure as i have not tried it,

But from RC and other forum there is 2 methods being used.

Brand Rowa = works well for US users / cheap now due to bulk order.

Brand Tunze = works well for US users / not found in Spore yet.

Zeovit system = claims works well for German users /

But like RC reefers it all depends on pricing for this. As it need to change every 12 week i think.

My 2 cents..

For Zeovit, you have to follow the exact steps and dosing amounts as its capable of stripping the water of nutrients very very fast which will lead to the corals RTN due to sudden change in water quality. Overall, Zeoivit has high initial investment but in the long run slightly cheaper than rowaphos... downside is that its more troublesome to use zeovit as u need to do stuff daily like dosing n shaking the zeoliths in the reactor..

That is whats happening to the US reefers with Rowaphos as well. They were not using in increasing amounts to slowly reduce the phospate and silicate leevls in their tanks but instead dumping in 1L or more from the start. The rowaphos is super effective in absorbing phospate and thus the sudden water quality change in the tanks caused RTN...
