yes, even rock hard sand is counted

Have not encountered clumping. Can be 100% sure for the deeper parts of the sand bed, but my first couple of inch is certainly well stirred due to the various creepy crawlies and some of my bottom feeders.

usually no cos i got sand sifting gobies but sometimes when i shift liverock around, the sand underneath the rock does
