According to Robert Fenner, Bi-color is a difficult species to keep and is best left to tanks that are more matured.

The yelow angel you are referring could be three spot or lemon peel. The difference is that the three spot have a black portion on the bottom fin whereas the lemon peel does not. Lemon peel also have bright blue borders around its eyes. Among these two the lemon peel is a better angel who is easily adaptable and will feed on any subsitute.

Please note that not all Angels sold in LFS are suitable for Aquarium. Some Angels are well know to be very shy such as the Golden Angel and some with special feeding habit such as the Three Spots who feeds predomnantly sponges & trinicates. ;)

Thus, it is adviseable to research on the species before you buy.

Although LFS play an important roles in the success of your fish but we must also look at ourselves. Alot of people blame their stock lost on LFS not "Quaratining" the fishes before they sell but when they themselves bring the fishes home, they just dump it into their main tank.

###### is know to process fishes in a manners frown upon by some reefers but they are others who claim they "Quarantine", but also does the same thing as ###### when you are not looking.

So have your own judgement and buy from the LFS whom the workers you trust. :peace:

I'm also new to this hobby and lost a few fish before I learnt my lesson:

1) Read, read, read. From this website or books or whatever. Learn more about fish and their habits.

2) Talk to people, but think before accepting all their comments wholesale. LFS staff will generally be very knowledgeable, but remember they are trying to make a sale and some will be less than honest in order to earn your money.

3) Be patient. Don't try to flood your tank with new fish until you are more experienced. Add one at a time, after checking that you know how to feed it. Some fish peck on algae and other stuff in the tank, which will not be present in large amounts in a young tank. Let your tank mature before introducing such fish.

4) Do your own quarantine. Keep the fish separately in a tank or tub that has nothing but an air pump. Give it small amounts of commercial food until it learns how to eat the stuff. Change the water everyday, 10% should be fine depending on how big the fish is and how big the quaratine tank is (you have no filter system, remember that).

Angels are not easy fish to start keeping, you might want to keep tangs or clowns first before moving to angels. Just a suggestion.

There are also tangs that are difficult to keep, heard of AT!!!!

But generally tangs from the Zebrasoma family are ok.

Personally, I will suggest beginners to start with percula or occelaris cuz they are be reminded of Nemo and thus easier for beginners to relate to.

Damsels are good too provided you are prepare to accept their aggressive nature towards new introductions to your tank. :D

I heard all tangs are prone to marine ich. :(

Can't stand damsels, keep snatching food from other fish! But yes, they are damn hardy fish and good for beginners. No matter the water condition, they still seem almost immortal

Perculas and ocellaris are easy fish yes, but somehow they die easily. Either they develop marine velvet from the transport stress or they have cyanide poisoning as many come from Indonesia, a place where they are most undiscerning in catching fish. I prefer a maroon in the tank if you have damsels, at least he won't be bullied :D

One reason why they dun eat could be the coral beauty stressing them out, is the coral beauty aggresive towards them? Best is u use a beta box to train them to eat before releasing them into the main tank... Also, use cyclopeeze, my experience is that many fishes starts etin cyclopeeze 1st... :) Good Luck!!
