Cheaters!!! Wanna bluff we poor ppl's money to pay more for the CableTV!!! As what the article as said yesterday on the NewPaper, how come they dont state the price when ESS says it 5-6times more than what we paid for last season. All crap!!!

Now we've gonna missed our matches again...get Channel 5 get back the broadcasting rights!!!

I am so upset with starhub. Are they going to lower the subscription for sports channel coz they are not telecasting the EPL? They calculate the subscription based on all tournaments.

About the cricket,for ICC trophy they charge 80 dollars(pay per view). Last time for the world cup, they charge 20 dollars only.

folks, this is corporate game play.

between ESS and Starhub, they will "negotiate" and play out their game.

presumably they will come to an amicable solution, so called in the best interest of their subscribers (i.e. ourselves).

then, if not immediate, but in the near future, the increased costs must be channeled back to the subscribers. again, a whole bunch of reasons will be given to justify the increase. but by then, the heat would have worn off, and subcribers forgotten the crap and hurt.

should we play their game ? can we go cold turkey ? can we strike back ?

But them being the one and only one that has the rights in singapore, i guess theres nothing must we can do unless some other broadcaster emerges and challenge them. Just like mediacorp and mediaworks. Once theres competition, the prices will definately decreases. The problem now is, theres no other one that can compete with Starhub over the cable tv...

heard that ESS and Starhub have been negotiating for the past 3 months but agree that they will telecast the matches during the period.. but starhub keep on pushing backwords trying to hang on there..

this affects everyone greatly.. coffeeshops and pubs affected greatly..

EPL sponsors for the channel like nokia,toshiba, tiger beer and others also affected.. everyone will start to travel to JB to watch.. SG revenue goes down.

starhub ppl just come my hse just now.. i asked him regarding the epl he say by tml we will noe the result.. other tat side they are demanding starhub to pay 6 time more.. then usual and if starhub do so.. our bill will be double.. as in 6+6 tat will be $12
