Dosing Kalkwasser

Hi ..

mine is a 3 x 2 x 2 tank and a 2½ x 1½ x 1½ sump ... how often do i need to dosing kalkwasser in my tank ?

currently my CA = 440, dKH = 9, Mg = 1300 ...

Sorry to hijack your thread.

I'll like to know how often too, cos what I did was prepared a few gallon and kept it in a close container and using 1 litre a day (dripping method) as topup.

Is that ok?

I read somewhere it's no good to pre-stock kalk water.

Think got something to do with CO2???

its actually ok to premix kalkwasser and store.. as long as the container is air tight,........ i also dose i liter per day..... but my tank is 2x3feet tanks combined togather and one nomal 2 feet tank as a sump... so roughly my tank is as stable as a 5 feet tank......haha....

say ... example if my CA and dKH is low ... ie. CA = 350, dKH=5 .. can i dose kalk and at the same time bring up the CA & dKH as i dose kalk ?
