Suitability of Yellow Coris in a Reef-Tank

Hi Guys, planning to add 1-2 Yellow Corises to my reef. Question is that issit really reef-safe? Does it help with the pesky pyramid snails?

mine is reef safe , but u will see it darting at corals but, it wont bite or damage it , *something like cleaning services*

NO. when it is big.. you will see it go after your hard shell inverts

I didnt like it stirring up the sandbed......

and they will go for the shrimps when they are bigger....

if you dun have any shrimps..it should be OK. though I am not sure it will go for the smaller fishes like neon gobies when it is big enuff....(never trust a wrasse)

I have a twinspot hogfish instead..been in my tank for 3 months and no threat to my shrimps and neon gobies....think it should be OK.

but hey...you never know..fishes with such big mouth.....

(at least this guy doesnt sleep in the sandbed )

that I dun know...as I hate snails.... you shouldnt find any in my tank

Main purpose for my query is to introduce a biological control for the damn pesky pyramid snails... Apart from Yellow Coris and 6-line (which I have but not its not interested in the snails), what other species can help me in this aspect?

Already tried RC and most of them recommended the Yellow Coris to help with the snails... Most of them said that the Coris is the perfect reef-safe fish and wont harm any of the inhabitants...

I am truly in a dilemma now... sob sob

After doing more research and various recommendation and re-assurance from several ppl who I hold in high regard both here and in RC, have decided to keep a pair of Yellow Coris in my tank for biological control of parasites and pyramid snails.

It has also been mentioned that Yellow Coris will clean parasites off fishes similar to the Cleaner wrasses.
