PAR has nothing to do with the wattage of ur lights. colour temperature, e.g. 6.5kk, 10kk, 12.5kk, 14kk, 20kk shld be the ones concerned.

If your tap water have Chloramine then if you use a RO/DI the resulting water will have ammonia. You'll need to pass it thru carbon again to remove the ammonia

What I meant is that with Chloramine in the tap water... with brand new carbon the RO/DI system would have no problem removing chloramine. However the effectiveness of the carbon might be lost befor ethe DI needs recharging and this would lead to ammonia in the processed RO/DI water.

How long does it take to show off bad effect. Weeks, Months ?

No one knows for sure. I rememeber it being a topic in FAMA magazine but can't remember the details as to how long fishes needs to be expose to cause dill failure.

But whatever it is, prevention is better than cure.
