Hi Guys,

My current Lamps are around 14 inches from water surface....

Thinkin of lowering them to 6 inchese from surface to drive in more intensity considering that I'm running 3 x 250 watters for a 5 footer....

Hope this gives me more intense colouration for my acros....

Anyone like to give some comments ???

Get yourself a good reflector and lower to 9inch if you are 2ft wide tank, any lower to 6inch will result in dead spots for the width. BTW, what reflector you are using...R U using 3 X250W BLV?

:P

Maxima

When did you ever become a Durian???? :P

DIYed spider reflectors......

I'm with 2 x 250W BLV SE for both ends with a Saki 6500 for centre bulb....

thinking of changing the centre bulb to a BLV too.....

hey, did you look at this link about reflector? Spiderlights kinda not good.

Think 9 inches is lowest you can go with it.

hi, was thinking of lowering my lights too..but worried about the heat... any rough gauge how much an inch lower would cause the temperature to increase by? mine is now 13" above with my 250w....
