u mean when u r cycling ur tank?

it wld be a gd idea to keep the lights on so that some organisms which is on the liverock can survive thru the cycling... another advantage is that it can help nurture some coralline algae as well... if it's just liverocks, maybe on the lights for ard 6hrs/day loh... so that it meets the bare min n will not nurture nuisance algae

if u mean putting them inside the sump w/o lights, then i tink it shld be alright loh... just that u cant expect it to be as beautiful as b4 when u decides to put it in the display again

blue lights help in coralline algae growth....
