Feeding of Yellow Polyps

Hi All,

Need your advice on how, what and when to feed these polyps.

The LFS guy said just to add Coralife Invertebrate Smorgasbord (or similar) 2 or 3 times a week into the tank to feed the corals. Is he right?

Regards

if u r confident of your light intensity and water flow, its ok not to add coral food.

but people alwaes add and thus shops alwaes haf stocks for coral food cos it helps to boost the growth and appearance of the coral.

besides, if u haf sponges, copepods and tube worms, all rely on coral food to grow nicely so no harm adding.

just don't add to much or u might get too much algae growing.

i use aquapharm coral food....no problems with that

Meat based foods. They won't take phyto. I've fed them using golden pearls with great success. They even multiplied.

Fuel - I've never used Golden Pearls before, but I understand they are powder like or similar to small grains of fish food. So how do you prevent them from floating away?

1.) take a cup of water from your tank.

2.) take small portion of golden pearls *by small I mean the size of the stirrer's cup from Mos Burger. if that sounds confusing, take a stirrer from Mos Burger, and you'll get my drift. (=*

3.) put small portion of golden pearls in cup of tank water.

4.) stir it.

5.) give it another five to ten minutes for all the Golden Pearls to sink.

6.) feed it into tank, either by pouring it where the output pipes are, or by target feeding it to various corals using a syringe. (=
